It achieved a price of GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,637.07), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Admittedly, works by Alexis de Leeuw have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winter scene in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 6,110.00 (€ 9,722.93).

Die Arbeit Loggers in a winter landscape von Alexis de Leeuw wurde im Mai 2003 in der Auktion BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.637,07) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexis de Leeuw auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Winter scene im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.110,00 (€ 9.722,93).
