Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ballet, New York: J. J. Augustin, 1945 by Alexey Brodovitch was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2001. The price achieved of GBP 763.75 (€ 1,280.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexey Brodovitch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ballet (Boutique Fantasque), 1935-37 in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 45,600.00 (€ 35,700.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ballet, New York: J. J. Augustin, 1945 von Alexey Brodovitch kam im Mai 2001 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 763,75 (€ 1.280,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 900,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexey Brodovitch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ballet (Boutique Fantasque), 1935-37 im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 45.600,00 (€ 35.700,31).
