Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alexey Brodovitch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2005. In the Photographs auction, the work Ballet sold for USD 1,560.00 (€ 1,175.23) - well above the upper estimate of USD 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexey Brodovitch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ballet (Boutique Fantasque), 1935-37 in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 45,600.00 (€ 35,700.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexey Brodovitch erzielte im Februar 2005 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Ballet für USD 1.560,00 (€ 1.175,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexey Brodovitch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ballet (Boutique Fantasque), 1935-37 im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 45.600,00 (€ 35.700,31).
