Walter auction, the work Brodovitch, Alexey (1898-1971). Ballet. New York: J. J. Augustin, 1945 sold for USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,020.99) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexey Brodovitch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ballet (Boutique Fantasque), 1935-37 in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 45,600.00 (€ 35,700.31).
