Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ballet (Le Tricorne), 1935-37 by Alexey Brodovitch was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in April 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,400.00 (€ 6,149.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alexey Brodovitch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ballet (Boutique Fantasque), 1935-37 in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 45,600.00 (€ 35,700.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ballet (Le Tricorne), 1935-37 von Alexey Brodovitch wurde im April 2007 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.400,00 (€ 6.149,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexey Brodovitch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ballet (Boutique Fantasque), 1935-37 im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 45.600,00 (€ 35.700,31).
