Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish and Sporting Pictures, which included the work Beside The Loch Shore by Alexander Nasmyth. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,869.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Nasmyth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of Dreghorn Castle, Midlothian, with figures and a hay cart in the foreground in October 2005 with an auction result of GBP 72,000.00 (€ 106,178.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish and Sporting Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Beside The Loch Shore von Alexander Nasmyth zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.869,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Nasmyth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View of Dreghorn Castle, Midlothian, with figures and a hay cart in the foreground im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 72.000,00 (€ 106.178,24).
