Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Flat) by Alex Israel was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 113,400.00 (€ 105,675.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alex Israel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sky Backdrop in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,025,000.00 (€ 751,466.28).
