Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Self-Portrait by Alex Israel was auctioned at Phillips in London in January this year. It achieved a price of GBP 6,048.00 (€ 6,864.57), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alex Israel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sky Backdrop in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,025,000.00 (€ 751,466.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Self-Portrait von Alex Israel kam im Januar diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 6.048,00 (€ 6.864,57) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alex Israel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sky Backdrop im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.025.000,00 (€ 751.466,28).
