Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Manicomio Rojo by Alejandro Obregón was sold in the Latin American Art Modern & Contemporary auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2014. It changed hands for a price of USD 43,750.00 (€ 35,174.47) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alejandro Obregón have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bodegón in May last year with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 234,833.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Manicomio Rojo von Alejandro Obregón wurde im November 2014 in der Auktion Latin American Art Modern & Contemporary bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 35.174,47) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alejandro Obregón auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bodegón im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 234.833,66).
