The work Cóndor by Alejandro Obregón was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2014. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,662.76), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alejandro Obregón achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bodegón in May last year with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 234,833.66).

Die Arbeit Cóndor von Alejandro Obregón wurde im Mai 2014 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 14.662,76) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alejandro Obregón erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bodegón im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 234.833,66).
