This artwork by Albert Roelofs achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2007. In the 19th Century EuropeanArt auction, the work Moedervreugd: Tjieke with her first-born baby Albertine sold for EUR 24,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Roelofs have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Toekomstdromen in April 2001 with an auction result of NLG 367,000.00 (€ 168,446.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Albert Roelofs erzielte im April 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century EuropeanArt wurde die Arbeit Moedervreugd: Tjieke with her first-born baby Albertine für EUR 24.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Roelofs auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Toekomstdromen im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 367.000,00 (€ 168.446,13).
