Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In de rust; model in the artist's studio by Albert Roelofs was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2011. The price achieved of EUR 61,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Roelofs - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Toekomstdromen, which sold at auction in April 2001 for NLG 367,000.00 (€ 168,446.13).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 61.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Roelofs mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Toekomstdromen beobachtet, die im April 2001 für NLG 367.000,00 (€ 168.446,13) versteigert wurde.
