This artwork by Albert Roelofs achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2007. In the 19th Century EuropeanArt auction, the work In 't atelier: Mientje admiring a portfolio sold for EUR 57,600.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Roelofs - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Toekomstdromen, which sold at auction in April 2001 for NLG 367,000.00 (€ 168,446.13).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Albert Roelofs erzielte im April 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century EuropeanArt wurde die Arbeit In 't atelier: Mientje admiring a portfolio für EUR 57.600,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Roelofs mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Toekomstdromen beobachtet, die im April 2001 für NLG 367.000,00 (€ 168.446,13) versteigert wurde.
