Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bouquet sur une table devant la fenêtre à Méricourt by Albert Marquet was auctioned at Christies in London in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 51,324.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Marquet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Plage De Sainte-Adresse in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,217,250.00 (€ 1,538,644.81).

Die Arbeit Bouquet sur une table devant la fenêtre à Méricourt von Albert Marquet kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 51.324,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert Marquet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Plage De Sainte-Adresse im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.217.250,00 (€ 1.538.644,81).
