In the Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale auction, the work La Plage De Sainte-Adresse sold for GBP 1,217,250.00 (€ 1,538,644.81) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600,000.00. This high result makes La Plage De Sainte-Adresse the most expensive artwork by Albert Marquet that we have observed at auctions so far.
