Upper estimate price exceeded by 56 %.
The work Festival by Albert Irvin was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in September 2019. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,104.77), 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Albert Irvin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Study For Homerton sold at auction in July 2007 with the realized price of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,734.16).

Die Arbeit Festival von Albert Irvin wurde im September 2019 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.104,77) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Albert Irvin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Study For Homerton im Juli 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.734,16).
