The work Riverside (unframed) by Albert Irvin was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,960.00 (€ 10,453.60), 49% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Irvin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study For Homerton, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,734.16).

Die Arbeit Riverside (unframed) von Albert Irvin wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.960,00 (€ 10.453,60) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Irvin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study For Homerton beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.734,16) versteigert wurde.
