Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Albert Irvin could be acquired at Sothebys in London in September 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Ellington changed hands for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,168.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Irvin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study For Homerton, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,734.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Albert Irvin konnte im September 2019 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Made in Britain wechselte die Arbeit Ellington für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.168,10) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Irvin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study For Homerton beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.734,16) versteigert wurde.
