Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Green Painting #4) by Alan Uglow was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 17,054.76) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alan Uglow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Standard #23 (Grey), which sold at auction in March 2020 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 45,335.03).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Green Painting #4) von Alan Uglow kam im Mai 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 17.054,76) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Alan Uglow mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Standard #23 (Grey) beobachtet, die im März 2020 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 45.335,03) versteigert wurde.
