Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Collection of Douglas S. Cramer, which included the work No Title by Al Taylor. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,340.00 (€ 10,019.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Al Taylor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Peabody Group, #9 - 1992 in October last year with an auction result of EUR 40,672.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Collection of Douglas S. Cramer durch, in der auch die Arbeit No Title von Al Taylor zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.340,00 (€ 10.019,44) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Al Taylor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Peabody Group, #9 - 1992 im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.672,00.
