Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Al Taylor could be acquired at Sothebys in Milan in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art | Milan auction, this work without title changed hands for EUR 5,292.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Al Taylor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Peabody Group, #9 - 1992 in October last year with an auction result of EUR 40,672.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Al Taylor konnte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in Mailand für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | Milan wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 5.292,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Al Taylor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Peabody Group, #9 - 1992 im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.672,00.
