Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Puppie Puddle (Junger Hung Pfütze) by Al Taylor for USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,616.53). This price was achieved in the auction The Artist’s Eye: The Collection of Tom Levine at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Al Taylor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Peabody Group, #9 - 1992 in October last year with an auction result of EUR 40,672.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Puppie Puddle (Junger Hung Pfütze) von Al Taylor für USD 4.410,00 (€ 3.616,53) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Artist’s Eye: The Collection of Tom Levine bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Al Taylor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Peabody Group, #9 - 1992 im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.672,00.
