Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Christies in London held the auction First Open | Online, which included the work Natura morta con mandolino (Still Life with Mandolin) by Afro. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,997.61) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Afro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Porta Portese in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 938,500.00 (€ 721,368.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open | Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Natura morta con mandolino (Still Life with Mandolin) von Afro zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.997,61) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Afro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Porta Portese im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 938.500,00 (€ 721.368,18).
