Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bowling by Afro was sold in the Contemporary Auction auction at Sothebys in Milan in April last year. The price achieved of EUR 60,480.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Afro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Porta Portese in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 938,500.00 (€ 721,368.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bowling von Afro wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Auction bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 60.480,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Afro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Porta Portese im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 938.500,00 (€ 721.368,18).
