Eseguito nel 1948 Opera registrata presso la Fondazione Archivio Afro, Roma, n. 48B191, come da autentica su fotografia in data 5 maggio 2023 'CONCERTINO'; SIGNED AND DATED (LOWER RIGHT); MIXED MEDIA ON PAPER L'opera sarà accompagnata da Attestato di Libera Circolazione. This work will be accompanied by an Export License.
Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale, which included the work Concertino by Afro. The price achieved of EUR 12,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Afro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Porta Portese in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 938,500.00 (€ 721,368.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Concertino von Afro zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 12.600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Afro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Porta Portese im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 938.500,00 (€ 721.368,18).
