A top price for Afro
In November 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Porta Portese by Afro. The »bidding war« ended at USD 938,500.00 (€ 721,368.18), 56% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Porta Portese the most expensive artwork by Afro that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Afro
Im November 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Porta Portese von Afro zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 938.500,00 (€ 721.368,18) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Porta Portese zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Afro, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
