Upper estimate price exceeded by 60 %.
In November 2021 Il Ponte held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Afro. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 24,000.00 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Afro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Porta Portese in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 938,500.00 (€ 721,368.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Afro zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 24.000,00 und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Afro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Porta Portese im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 938.500,00 (€ 721.368,18).
