The work Composizione N. 1 by Afro was auctioned at Christies in Milan in February 2021. It achieved a price of EUR 30,000.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Afro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Porta Portese in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 938,500.00 (€ 721,368.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Composizione N. 1 von Afro kam im Februar 2021 bei Christies in Mailand zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 30.000,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Afro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Porta Portese im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 938.500,00 (€ 721.368,18).
