Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A plough team by Herman Gouwe. The price achieved of EUR 1,314.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herman Gouwe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A plough team in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 19,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2002 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A plough team von Herman Gouwe zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.314,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herman Gouwe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A plough team im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.200,00.
