Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sailing in Tahiti by Herman Gouwe was sold in the Discovery on Sunset auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in May this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,152.00 (€ 1,081.28) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herman Gouwe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A plough team in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 19,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sailing in Tahiti von Herman Gouwe wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Discovery on Sunset bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.152,00 (€ 1.081,28) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herman Gouwe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A plough team im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.200,00.
