Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Palmtrees On Faaa, Tahiti by Herman Gouwe was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2014. The price achieved of EUR 4,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Herman Gouwe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A plough team in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 19,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Palmtrees On Faaa, Tahiti von Herman Gouwe kam im Juni 2014 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Herman Gouwe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A plough team im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.200,00.
