Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Untitled (A Victim of American Democracy) by Adam Pendleton. The price achieved of USD 138,600.00 (€ 130,091.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adam Pendleton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Days) in November last year with an auction result of USD 604,800.00 (€ 585,876.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (A Victim of American Democracy) von Adam Pendleton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 138.600,00 (€ 130.091,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adam Pendleton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Days) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 604.800,00 (€ 585.876,20).
