A top price for Zhou Changjiang
When the work Complementation 99.2 by Zhou Changjiang was auctioned at Christies in Shanghai in April 2015, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - CNY 120,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than six times as high at CNY 750,000.00 (€ 108,313.92). This high result makes Complementation 99.2 the most expensive artwork by Zhou Changjiang that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Zhou Changjiang
Als die Arbeit Complementation 99.2 von Zhou Changjiang im April 2015 bei Christies in Shanghai versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – CNY 120.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit CNY 750.000,00 (€ 108.313,92) mehr als sechsmal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Complementation 99.2 zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Zhou Changjiang, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
