Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Complementation Series No.99.4 by Zhou Changjiang was worth HKD 500,000.00 (€ 58,668.36) to a buyer in May 2015. This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhou Changjiang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Complementation 99.2 sold at auction in April 2015 with the realized price of CNY 750,000.00 (€ 108,313.92).

Die Arbeit Complementation Series No.99.4 von Zhou Changjiang war einem Käufer im Mai 2015 HKD 500.000,00 (€ 58.668,36) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhou Changjiang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Complementation 99.2 im April 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von CNY 750.000,00 (€ 108.313,92).
