Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zhou Changjiang could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work The Overlapping Newly Translated Scriptures (Set Of Eight) changed hands for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,669.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhou Changjiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Complementation 99.2 in April 2015 with an auction result of CNY 750,000.00 (€ 108,313.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhou Changjiang konnte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit The Overlapping Newly Translated Scriptures (Set Of Eight) für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.669,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhou Changjiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Complementation 99.2 im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 750.000,00 (€ 108.313,92).
