Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zhou Changjiang could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Asia auction, the work Overlapped Classics (8 Panels) changed hands for USD 33,000.00 (€ 24,674.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhou Changjiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Complementation 99.2 in April 2015 with an auction result of CNY 750,000.00 (€ 108,313.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhou Changjiang konnte im März 2007 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia wechselte die Arbeit Overlapped Classics (8 Panels) für USD 33.000,00 (€ 24.674,74) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhou Changjiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Complementation 99.2 im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 750.000,00 (€ 108.313,92).
