Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Entrace Pipes Embedded Into Yellow by Zhou Changjiang was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,762.00). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhou Changjiang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Complementation 99.2 in April 2015 with an auction result of CNY 750,000.00 (€ 108,313.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Entrace Pipes Embedded Into Yellow von Zhou Changjiang im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.762,00) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhou Changjiang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Complementation 99.2 im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 750.000,00 (€ 108.313,92).
