This price was achieved in the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 15,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Zhang Tingji have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Standard Script in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 76,334.97).
