This artwork by Zhang Tingji achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2015. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Standard Script Calligraphy sold for USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,438.45) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Tingji have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Standard Script in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 76,334.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Tingji erzielte im September 2015 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Standard Script Calligraphy für USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.438,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Tingji auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Standard Script im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 76.334,97).
