It achieved a price of HKD 129,800.00 (€ 14,286.02), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 30%. Admittedly, works by Zhang Tingji have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Standard Script in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 76,334.97).

Die Arbeit Seven Charactor Couplet In Clerical Script von Zhang Tingji kam im Oktober 2017 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 129.800,00 (€ 14.286,02) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 30%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Tingji auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Standard Script im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 76.334,97).
