Artwork auctioned at 11 times the upper estimate price
The work Calligraphy by Zhang Tingji was worth HKD 562,500.00 (€ 61,909.77) to a buyer in October 2017. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhang Tingji; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy In Standard Script sold at auction in November 2015 with the realized price of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 76,334.97).
Kunstwerk zum Elffachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Zhang Tingji war einem Käufer im Oktober 2017 HKD 562.500,00 (€ 61.909,77) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhang Tingji; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Standard Script im November 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 76.334,97).
