Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Calligraphy In Running Script by Zhang Tingji for USD 2,375.00 (€ 2,115.25). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Tingji achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Standard Script in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 76,334.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Zhang Tingji für USD 2.375,00 (€ 2.115,25) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Tingji erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Standard Script im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 76.334,97).
