Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gaze of Sorrow No. 2 by Zhang Peng was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in June 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,500.00 (€ 6,688.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Zhang Peng have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2009 the work Gui Fei was auctioned for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,734.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gaze of Sorrow No. 2 von Zhang Peng wurde im Juni 2010 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.500,00 (€ 6.688,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Zhang Peng konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2009 die Arbeit Gui Fei für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.734,66) versteigert.
