Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Yo Yo No. 2; Gazing In Sorrow; Ning Ning; & Untitled by Zhang Peng for HKD 35,400.00 (€ 4,196.23). This price was achieved in the auction Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art at POLY in Macau and was even below the estimate range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Peng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gui Fei, which sold at auction in June 2009 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,734.66).
