A top price for Zhang Kunyi
When the work Mice And Turnip by Zhang Kunyi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 200,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at HKD 687,500.00 (€ 75,667.50). This high result makes Mice And Turnip the most expensive artwork by Zhang Kunyi that we have observed at auctions so far.

Als die Arbeit Mice And Turnip von Zhang Kunyi im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 200.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 687.500,00 (€ 75.667,50) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Mice And Turnip zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Zhang Kunyi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
