The work Growling Bear by Zhang Kunyi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,342.96), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Kunyi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mice And Turnip, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 75,667.50).

Die Arbeit Growling Bear von Zhang Kunyi kam im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.342,96) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Kunyi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mice And Turnip beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 687.500,00 (€ 75.667,50) versteigert wurde.
