Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cabbage by Zhang Kunyi was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 47,880.00 (€ 5,789.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Kunyi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mice And Turnip in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 75,667.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cabbage von Zhang Kunyi wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 47.880,00 (€ 5.789,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Kunyi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mice And Turnip im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 75.667,50).
