The work Crane by Zhang Kunyi was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 34,877.43), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Kunyi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mice And Turnip, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 75,667.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Crane von Zhang Kunyi wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 34.877,43) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Kunyi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mice And Turnip beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 687.500,00 (€ 75.667,50) versteigert wurde.
