Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Beijing Wa Wa - Mermaid by Zhang Hui was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2008. Here, the upper estimate of USD 22,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,500.00 (€ 15,978.98). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Hui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Miraculous Slop Analysis 1, which sold at auction in May 2014 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 49,651.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Beijing Wa Wa - Mermaid von Zhang Hui wurde im September 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 22.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.500,00 (€ 15.978,98) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Hui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Miraculous Slop Analysis 1 beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 49.651,76) versteigert wurde.
