Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Chinese Art, which included the work Fan Kuan-Monet by Zhang Hongtu. The price achieved of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 40,687.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 350,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Hongtu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shen Zhou - Van Gogh #2, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 1,440,000.00 (€ 137,117.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fan Kuan-Monet von Zhang Hongtu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 40.687,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 350.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Hongtu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shen Zhou - Van Gogh #2 beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 1.440.000,00 (€ 137.117,37) versteigert wurde.
